The land on which Taj Mahal was built was a stolen property. The property was stolen from the kings of Jaipur by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Subramanian Swamy, leader of Bhartiya Janata Party said based on some documents he has access to.

Subramanian Swamy said that Rajas and Maharajas of Jaipur were forced by Shah Jahan, to sell the land to him, and gave them forty villages as compensation. Swamy said, according to the property’s value, the compensation that Shah Jahan gave is nothing. “I have proofs on record”. “I will soon release the copies of the proofs very soon to the media”, Swamy Subramanian further added.

Swamy proclaimed, according to the documents, there was a temple on the property where Taj Mahal is standing. Now, whether Taj Mahal was built after destructing the temple is still not clear.

Subramanian Swamy said further, “There is no intent of BJP to demolish Taj Mahal, but out of thousands of temples demolished under Muslim rule, we want only three temples”. The three temples are Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath, Mathura’s Krishna’s temple and Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, we want only these three temples to be re-established, once these three are re-established we won’t be bothered about the remaining forty thousand temples in the country.
