Suzuki Motorcycles India is fully prepared to launch its new 150 cc cruiser bike, the intruder in India. The design of the new Intruder 150 is kept the same as the Intruder M1800R. The detail information was leaked in the form of a brochure before launching in India. There is something special in this cruiser with a musical design.
Designing elements have been taken in the motorcycle by Suzuki Intruder M 1800 R. Its inverted triangle headlight extends to fuel tank. The lower part of the engine cowl is more bulky than before. Rider and pillion seats are different in it. The wide handle bars and low seats offered suits best for the cruiser bike.
There is a 154 cc single cylinder engine that comes from Suzuki Gixxer. Gixxer engine generates power of 14.8 PS. This engine generates a torque of 14 Newton at 6,000 RPM. However, in terms of this motorcycle, the engine will be tuned in a better manner. The engine is integrated with 5-Speed.
The frame of this bike looks like a Gixxer. The front has been given a telescopic fork and a back is supported with monoshock, which holds the frame firm. Alloy wheels and tires are the same as regular models.
Talking of the breaks, disc brakes assembled in both wheels of the new Suzuki Intruder 150. There is also an ABS sticker on the front fender, which indicates inclusion of anti-lock breaking system in the cruiser.
After the launch in India, the Suzuki Intruder 150 CC cruiser bike will compete primarily with Bajaj Avenger Street 150.
In terms of price, the new cruiser motorcycle will be higher by Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 compared to the Gixxer SF ABS variant. Its ex showroom price is expected to be around Rs 1 Lakh.
However, at present, the specifications aren’t disclosed officially by the company. Post launch of Intruder 150 will no doubt create some great chaos in the country. And in terms of competition, Bajaj has so far grabbed a huge part of the motorcycle market with its latest Avenger series.
