The most hyped movie of the year Padmavati is again facing fresh problems in the state of Rajasthan as film distributors have stated that they will not purchase its sharing and distribution rights unless and until the disagreement and controversy surrounding the movie directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali- is resolved soon. The film starts Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the motion picture is slated for release in the coming month of December, 2017.
A different Rajput group, which includes the Karni Sena, have exposed and threatened to interrupt the screening of the picture, condemning Sanjay Leela Bhansali of “twisting” historical and chronological facts. “Karni Sena and various other Rajput community political leaders are protesting opposing the motion picture over suspected misrepresentation of chronological facts. We are also in opposition to the misrepresentation of chronological facts and will buy the sharing and distribution rights only after the problems and controversy get settled,” (leading film distributor) Raj Bansal, stated to PTI.
“Let them reach a harmonious solution for the time being, then only we are ready to buy the rights of the movie,” he said. Another movie distributor, known as Sanjay Chatar, stated that the movie maker and those who are objecting to the motion picture should first settle the disagreement and controversy. “There should be no misrepresentation of chronological and historical facts in the movie,” he stated.
There are over 330 screens in the state of Rajasthan. Rajasthan BJP (MLA) known as Diya Kumari too have joined in the group protesting against the film. “I will not let any misrepresentation of the heroic history of Rajasthan & forfeit of its people in battling of barbarians by picture #Padmavati,” Diya Kumari, who is from the pink city Jaipur; she belongs to the royal family, tweeted on Twitter. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been facing several problems since the launching day, as the sets of the picture were damaged and even the director of this movie was slapped by few members from the Karni Sena in the start of this year. We hope everything will get stable by December, 2017.
